Skardu [Baltistan] lies in the heart of world's mightiest mountain ranges, the Great Himalaya and the Karakoram. Thus summer temperatures rarely exceed about 35*, while in winter it may reach to minus 30*C. So the best season for tourist who wants to travel this region is from April to October.
